Launch Your Quantum Career
Gain practical experience at the frontier of quantum computing with Horizon Quantum’s science internship programme.

Our science internship programme
Horizon Quantum runs science internship programmes in both Singapore and Ireland. These internships offer students the opportunity to work alongside our science and engineering teams on projects that explore new applications of quantum computing and directly contribute to the evolution of Horizon Quantum’s technology stack.
All internships are paid and conducted on site within a team-based, research-driven environment. For international candidates, we provide travel support to facilitate a temporary relocation for the duration of the programme.
What you’ll do
Think creatively, grow technically, and work collaboratively
What you’ll gain
Real-world exposure to the quantum computing industry and hands-on experience with Triple Alpha
How you’ll contribute
Design projects that identify new applications and use cases for our technology
Typical programme structure
Each internship follows a similar format across locations. Programmes run during the summer period, with specific dates and details announced closer to each intake.
Training and orientation
You'll learn about Horizon Quantum and Triple Alpha through presentations and practice projects
Project planning
You'll participate in brainstorming sessions, literature reviews, and feasibility studies to design a research project
Execution
You'll develop the tools necessary to implement the project, gather data, and analyse results
Presentations
You'll share progress and findings with the broader Horizon Quantum team
Who we’re looking for
We welcome applicants from backgrounds in physics, computer science, mathematics, and engineering who have a foundational understanding of quantum computing and programming experience.

Beyond the internship
Our internships are more than a learning opportunity—they’re a chance to contribute meaningful progress in a rapidly developing field. In addition to deepening their understanding of quantum software development, our interns will become comfortable working across time zones and connecting with industry professionals.
Some interns continue to collaborate with Horizon Quantum after the programme ends, forming part of a growing international network committed to advancing practical quantum computing. Occasionally, internships become a pathway to full-time roles after graduation.
