Horizon Quantum and dMY Squared announced that they have entered into subscription agreements with investors for a $110 million PIPE financing comprised of common equity, priced at the SPAC redemption price per share, to support the previously announced proposed business combination which is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.

Horizon Quantum today announced that it has completed the assembly and integration of a first quantum computer at its Singapore headquarters. The system is now fully operational.

Subject to the completion of the SEC review process and satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including the approval of dMY’s and Horizon’s shareholders, Holdco’s Class A ordinary shares and warrants are expected to be listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbols “HQ” and “HQW” upon the closing of the transaction.

Early computers were special-purpose machines aimed at narrow use cases, a far cry from the computers we use today. Quantum computing is currently in a similar position, dominated by specialists developing standalone quantum algorithms rather than building up tools for broader applications.
